Important message for the lady that bought the blue/grey circle fabric at the Pretty Posh shopping fair, please get in touch, I gave you the wrong piece, the one you have is too short.

"Devon based designer Sara Radford has had a passion for sewing that started at the age of eight, making doll's clothes from fabrics left over from her Mum's dressmaking, and Sara's love of fabric combined with her interest in period costume have been sources of inspiration for many of the beautiful gowns that she has created since she started her bridalwear business in 1991." Cottesloe Brides

In 2006, with nearly forty years of sewing experience, including twenty years of professional work, I took the opportunity to teach some sewing workshops at Countess Wear Village Hall in Exeter with the 'Couture Boned Bodice' and 'Victorian Period Corset' workshops being very popular each time that they are offered as part of the Village Hall workshop programme.

I also run smaller workshops in Exmouth which include 'own choice' dressmaking days covering a diverse range of projects and skills as well as a weekly sewing group on Friday afternoons and a Sewing Summer School at the beginning of the school holidays.

If you have a sewing group that would like to do a workshop I am also quite happy to travel to you.

If you would like to book a workshop and need accommodation try www.exmouth-guide.co.uk or www.exmouthbedandbreakfast.co.uk to see what is available in and around Exmouth.

I recently demonstrated this dress at Sewing For Pleasure at the NEC.

Instructions on how to make the dress and the twelve different ways to wear this very versatile holiday packer are now available on a CD priced 10.
